Miraculous operation and some tips to live in the UK

It is certainly a miracle. Poor baby, in other cases he wouldn't have survived, but in this case he is safe. Thanks to the helicopter which brought him quickly to the hospital, he arrived in time It was a good job carried out by the doctor after six hours of operation.

It is true that getting used to life in a foreign country can be difficult, but you should try to talk all you can, make friends, eat the food from there, save money, visit as much as you can in a city, like: museums, theatres, cinemas, go to cafes... and why do you want your mobile? Look for information, download an app and so you can have access to all information about the city. I am going to go to Ireland and I hope that when I stay there all will be easy to get used to.

NO SMOKING: Drive me home, Daddy!

In my opinion this is a good idea, because all of us know that smoking isn’t good for our health. It is incredible when it says that smoking in a car creates a higher concentration of toxins than in a bar - some research has put it at 11 times higher, so people should be aware of what they do. But this is not the only problem, there are a lot of them, like: Smoke can stay in the air for up to two and a half hours even with a window open, second-hand smoke contains more than 4,000 chemicals, some of which are known to cause cáncer ,exposure to second-hand smoke has been strongly linked to chest infections, asthma, ear problems and can even cause death in children… And only for the passive smokers. Smokers are not conscious of all the consequences derived from smoking.
Probably people don’t want to pay the penalty of £50, and so they will give up smoking.

I can’t see the pleasure in smoking, and less when you are driving, because it may cause an accident and it is even worse when you carry children in your car. If you are doing something, pay attention to it. Smoking can kill you.

What can I say about my image?

Regarding my image, maybe I am trendy. I usually wear jeans and a T-shirt to go to school, my clothes always math of course. I wear sporty clothes when I have PE, but I think they don’t suit me. I love wearing smart clothes, for example, dresses and wearing make-up like “cat eye” and jewellery (bracelets, earrings, rings, in fact, all the jewels) too. It is great to look like a famous person.

What can I say about things that I love? I really like going shopping, and having a look at all the shops in the shopping centre. I also love playing the guitar in my free time. The third thing I like is the idea that I am going to go to Dublin, because I haven’t been there, so, if I participate in the study trip, I will get the B1 in English.

There are three things I hate. I don’t like arrogant people who treat people bad, maybe they don’t have a university degree. The second thing I hate is the people who don’t listen to me, for me it is important that the people pay attention to me. Finally, the last thing I really hate is going to the Official Language School. I don’t fancy that, and sometimes I am so angry that I wouldn’t go any more. I am tired and tired, but if I pass my 3rd year, I’ll get my B1 in French.

2nd Book

Sons of Scotland, you have come here to fight as free men... if you fight, perhaps you'll die. If you run, you may live for a time. But at what cost?... I say we'll always be free!

Braveheart is the true story of William Wallace, whose love for his country gave hope to his people.

1st Book

Rabbit-Proof Fence

Fourteen-year-old Molly and her cousins Daisy and Gracie were mixed-race Aborigines. In 1931 they were taken away from their families and sent to a campo to be trained as good "white Australians". They were told to forget their mothers, their language, their home.

But Molly would not forget. She and her cousins escaped and walked back to Jigalong, 1600 kilometres away, following the rabbit-proof fence north across Western Australia to their desert home.

Rabbit-Proof Fence is the true story of that walk, told by Molly's daughter, Doris. It is also a prize-winning film.

La Vuelta '15 in the Alpujarras (stage 7)

I watched the stage 7 of the cycling tour of Spain. Yesterday, when I was sitting in the sofa and I switched theTV on. I watched the cyclists cycling in Lanjarón.

On the one hand, the landscape and the images that camera men and the helicopter gave us were amazing, we could see all the Alpujarras on TV, and we had wonderful views of the villages they went by.
On the other hand, the race was very exciting. The three cyclists who were ahead fought for the first position. The winner was Lindeman, but Froome fought a lot too.

About the villages, I visit them every year when there is snow and it is cold, very cold. The last time I went with my family we visited a chocolate factory called the "Abuela Lili". There, there were too many chocolate classes. All were good. I recommend everyone to visit these small, but frienly villages.

Even, the broadcaster said that in Orgiva, where I have two cousins, there is a great hippy community, some of them are English, German... and Spanish too. Orgiva is very famous for this. Over there, there is a Buddhist temple. I have visited it and you must go in silence all the time. It is a good place to relax.

Happy birthday, Magic Johnson!!!!

Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Magic Johnson, happy birthday to you!!!

Earvin "Magic" Johnson was born on August 14th in 1959, in Lansing in Michigan. Now, the 56-old-year man, is a former basketball player, one of the best players in the history of basketaball. He played in  Los Angeles Lakers for more than 10 years (1979-1991). And later in 1996, for a little period.

During his career he won a lot of awards. He also played at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, beating his rivals and winning thus, the gold.

In 1992 the basketball player announced that he had VIH virus. He played with the number 32 as point guard.

Palmyra: Historic temple destroyed, archaeologist murdered and AMERICAN HEROES IN FRANCE!!!

This case is a loss for all the humanity. I am going to talk about the archaeological site of Palmyra.
Palmyra was an old city situated on the desert of Syria. It was chosen as World Heritage Site in 1980 by Unesco.

The temple which was destroyed was The Baalshamin temple, which had stood there for nearly 2,000 years. It was considered one of the best preserved temple on the site.

The three US men or the heroes, how the people know them now, were on board of the TGV heading for Paris when a gunman opened fire. They and two others chased him, tackled him and were able to subdue him. Some of them are soldiers. They deserve a great applause from all of society because of their act.

Neither trekking nor just climbing... it is actually running in the Alps!!!!

It is incredible to see how a man with just 26 years does this!! Neither trekking nor just climbing, otherwise, running! The Swiss mountain-runner ran up five 4,000-metre peaks within seven hours and 45 minutes. Breaking thus his own record. What a long way! He did the crossing for the first time in 2013, taking just over nine hours to do it.

In the link I have seen the amazing images of the wonderful landscape that he saw during his adventure in  the Swiss Alps.

I have done the exclamation exercise and I have had just three errors. (:

It is time to revise the EXCLAMATIVE SENTENCES: LINK

He was... born to run!!!

Firstly, who is Bruce Springsteen? Bruce Springsteen was born in New Jersey on September 23rd in 1949. Now he is 65 years old. He is a singer, musician and US compositor. He is often known as The Boss. His sales are over 64.5 million albums in the US and over 120 million worldwide.

His  success came with Born to Run. What else? His songs have been used for some films, even he won an Oscar for his song "Streets of Philadelphia", for the film by Jonathan Demme, Philadelphia.

Secondly, I didn't know who this very famous person was Until a few minutes, and so I haven't listened to any songs by him. Although I think that he is a great musician.

A bloody matter

If blood means sangre, and bleed sangrar, bloody will mean sangriento, the adjective. Also it means, violento and in some other occasions it means maldito, condenado, pinche, jodido and the UK it is utilised as intensifier adjectives, muy and tan.

I don't know the length of the blood vessels, it is incredible 100,000 miles. It is real that the blood is very important in human health, and without it we can't live.

The most important for a healthy heart is not to drink alcohol and eat less salt (5g per day). Sometimes there are problems which are hereditary, and so these people must be more careful and these cares have to be better.

There are a lot of stories about the blood from the Roman to the famous vampire Dracula. I don't believe them, because the youth of the face doesn't depend on the blood, but in the aging process of the person.

Le Tour de France est fini...mais Paris est toujours là!!!

Je peux faire le commentaire en Française?
Alors, le Tour est fini, mais ça m'est égal parce que je n'aime pas le cyclisme.

In France, there are a lot of things to see. First, the famous Eiffel Tower, the river Seine, the Louvre Museum, Disneyland, the Palace of Versailles, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arch of Triumph, the Mont Blanc and too many things. (The Mont Saint-Michel, the same as you did). This summer the temperatures are higher than other years, and the best is to travel to the coast, such as la Côte d'Azur, C'EST FORMIDABLE.

As it is normal at this time of year, there are too many tourists everywhere, and sometimes this can be a problem.
Spanish pride. Miguel Indurain has won five consecutive times the tour. One of the most important Spanish sportsmen.
I haven't visited this wonderful city, but during this summer I have gone to a lot of
places, as Loro Sexy and more.

Greece, Europe and the future

Lately Greece doesn't stop appearing on TV. After a lot of disagreements between the Hellenic country
and the UE, and the referendum at which the majority voted no, finally there has been an agreement between them. And right now, there won’t be an exit of Greece of the euro.

It was disagreeable to see the people at the doors of the banks to get little money from the cash machines, less than 100€ per day, just to feed a family. Some of them didn't have enough money to buy medicines. It was so sad.

Something which caught my eye was the Australian businessman who gave money to a Greek man. The Greek was friend of the Australian’s father. It was something which touched all. What a great person! The world should have more people like him, so the world would be better.

The music war

I am going to talk about the music war between the singer Taylor Swift and the company Apple. It is true that all of us enjoy listening to music and that we don’t like paying for it and the solution it is to download it through illegal pages or to listen to it in musical platforms without paying. The problem is that if we don't buy the music, or any CDs and we don't even pay for any music service, the singers and musicians don’t earn money. They live off the music and they hope to get some profits, thing that doesn't always happen. I agree with her, because I reckon that she is doing her work and she must make profits from it.

In contrast, it is true that Apple wants the best for their customers to keep them happy. Although the solution isn't this one.
The girl is very brave fighting for what it is from her.

I think that U-turn' means in Spanish, cambio de sentido.

Too skinny for the catwalk!!!!

More and more, the fashion world and the catwalk is open only for the too skinny people, especially women. And sometimes this isn't something nice.
You look everywhere and you can see skinny women, and it can be a drama for some women. Because they want to be like them, the type of women that the publicity sells us. And it is almost impossibe because everyone is as it is. Even they feel groggy with their bodies. That difference makes you make you genuine.
I agree with French MPs, if skinny people were forbidden at the catwalk, we would have more self-confident people and fewer eating problems as bulimia and more.

I say this word as that person, and I think that is an insult. Synonyms of skinny, lean, lanky and slim.

The Importance of Being Earnest is a play by Oscar Wilde written in 1895. He was from Dublin, Ireland, right where we are going next year for our study trip.

The teenage brain & Paris 'love-locks' removed

Paris 'love locks' have been removed from the bridge where they were. It is the end of a story, a beautiful tradition, which was like a tale and which was about a way to express love by lovers.

Adding a love lock to the Pont des Arts before throwing the key into the River Seine had became a tourist tradition. For me, it was a nice love sign. But this can be an eyesore and also a hazard. The metal bridge, with weighed nearly 50 tonnes, could fall down at any moment .Last year, one section of the railways split apart. Normal!!

It is a bit sad, because one day if I had been to Paris, I would have gone there. Remove means quitar.

On the one hand, the teenage brain doesn't have anything to envy. We have a lot of school information, it is a disaster, only space for these things, which are almost always forgotten. On the other hand, sometimes we have memory for music and other things without importance, or on the contrary, with importance (in lower case). It is true that in this life stage we have capacity for learn more things and also easier.

B.B. King & Lucille... Stand by me, please!

BB King, knows as The King of the Blues, was born in Berclair, Mississippi on September 26th 1925 and he died last May 14th in Las Vegas. He was an American Hall of Fame blues singer, songwriter and guitarist and he was considered one of the most influential blues musicians of all time. He also participated in some films as Blues Brothers 2000, When We Were Kings. He worked until this year.

He was married twice and he had fifteen children, natural and adopted. King's favorite singer was Frank Sinatra. In his autobiography he spoke about it. He lived with diabetes for over 20 years and it was the cause of his dead.

An interesting thing is that he had two clubs and many more. In 1991, B.B. King's Blues Club opened on Beale Street in Memphis, and in 1994, a second club was launched at Universal
City Walk in Los Angeles.

The story of King’s guitar was that he put this name because in a concert there was fire and everybody there ran away, but he returned to get his guitar. He was in danger of dying. When they told him that the reason of flames was that two men were fighting for one woman, King decided to name the guitar as her, Lucille.

I have only heard one song of him, Stand by me, but sung by Prince Royce. Although I liked Stand by me by Prince Royce, I reckon that the version sung by King is the best.

Baltimore: racism, violence, justice...

Something which caught my eye was the mother who went to her son when he was in the protest in Baltimore. The boy is sixteen years old.

The mother called Toha Graham was in her house watching TV and she saw her son in the protest, and she decided to go there and bring her son home. We can see in the video as the mother hits to the boy; she tells him to return home. It´s incredible how she dares to go there to save her son. It is an example of how the other parents should educate their children. For me she is a courageous mother and so it´s because she has six daughters and the boy. Now, she hasn’t got a job and she educates her children alone. She doesn’t want Michael to join any gang as there are too many in the city. She heard a shot and she came to the street to see what happened and she saw a young boy on the street and he was dying, the people of the gang left and they abandoned the teenager there. For this Toha doesn’t want this for Michael. She was congratulated by Baltimore’s authorities.

It´s true that this year too many coloured people have died, and I think that sometimes the only reason is that they are color person. I have seen various cases of this type on TV. There are some police officers men who have killed coloured people without any reason, and this is unacceptable in the century which we live. It is obvious that racism is still present.

Another problem is that the use of weapons is permitted in the USA, and so all the people can have access to them. This is another cause of conflicts between citizens and police forces. And they can be very violent with them. We must react and say no to racism.

Home schooling

Resultado de imagen de home schooling
Resultado de imagen de home schoolingI think that the people who are victims of bullies or other problems at school, they and their parents prefer go to private schools and mainly the people who have a lot of money, the richest people. Private schools give too many advantages, but disadvantages too. For example, to stay at a private school, you have to pay too much money for the tuition and you must have high marks.

However, at state schools there are the people who haven't many economic resources, there are more people for this reason and you can make more friends, and you don’t need such high marks, because public schools have to admit everyone. You can wear the clothes that you want and the timetables are better.

About home schooling, it sounds good that the teacher goes to your home, you can change the timetables, you have a teacher who teaches only you, and when you do an exam you aren’t nervous…
Boarding school is a school at which the pupils receive meals and accommodation as well as an education. In Spanish it means “internado”

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter the school where you are, the important is if you want study or not. Both private and state schools, if you want to study, are a good option for you. I’m at a state school and I’m happy without problems.

Could we do exams at home?

Really? It would be the dream all of us, but I can't believe you will be able to do an exam from your bed one day. I think that it is better to do exams in class with teachers, because at home you can cheat and maybe you don't revise for the exam and so, you fail it. It’s true that in class you are nervous with too much pressure, but you can ask the teacher if you don't know any exercise. For the bad students, this is a problem, because in class, teachers for to beat it, can ban mobile phones and cameras. The head teacher can suspend or expel students who cheat.

I think that cheating in exams is easy with the new technology and as in the past, with little notes and writing notes on your arms. But the truth is that cheats never win, and winners never cheat.

It is a good idea for the people who can’t move, either because they are disabled or because they live very far.

The best solution would be not to do any exams at all, in class or in your bedroom.

Black Friday

Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the USA for selling more in party days.

It is sometimes also called Black Friday fever because of the violence that people used to get something with discounts and the police are often called to deal with desperate shoppers because, for example a man was arrested on suspicion of assault at a store. There are many cases with violence when shoppers assault other shoppers. Although the people buy a lot of things that they don't really need,it is mainly a matter of getting bargains.

In Spain it has also been celebrated. I think it is mainly for the companies to make money, but here I think that the people don't buy much because of the economic crisis since families don't have any means. I saw on TV is to do the Christmas shoppings in advance.
